Project Context

  Amid the energy transition in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a technology park in Guangdong faced challenges such as high electricity costs and fluctuating peak loads

  • With an existing 1,600kVA transformer and a 330kW solar installation, the park aimed to address grid inefficiencies
  • CEEC designed a "solar+storage" hybrid solution, deploying a 500kW/1,045kWh Energy Storage System (ESS) to optimize energy use and reduce costs.

Engineering Solution

  CEEC adopted an integrated energy management approach:

  • Localized & Efficient Integration: The ESS was installed near the substation to minimize cabling costs, featuring liquid cooling, fire safety systems, and advanced Battery Management System (BMS)
  • Multi-Energy Coordination: The EMS dynamically adjusted charging/discharging strategies, including "valley charging & peak discharging" and Solar-Storage Integration，to maximize savings
  • Intelligent Demand Management: Real-time load monitoring prevented transformer overloading, avoiding costly capacity upgrades
