Harnessing Solar Potential in the Gobi

   In Dunhuang’s Qili Town PV Industrial Park, CEEC is rewriting the future of renewable energy with cutting – edge technology. Its 100MW solar farm, spanning 3,000 mu of desert, has become a regional benchmark, empowered by a 15MW/60MWh energy storage system that delivers a “Dunhuang Solution” for high – penetration renewable integration.  

  • As China’s first new energy demonstration city, Dunhuang boasts 3,258 annual sunshine hours and class - A solar resources
  • Completed a 100 MW photovoltaic power plant using high - efficiency monocrystalline bifacial panels and smart tracking mounts, increasing annual power generation to 180 million kWh and reducing CO₂ emissions by 120,000 tons annually
  • Overcoming the challenge of intermittency in photovoltaic power generation and grid absorption capacity

Engineering Solution

CEEC deployed a 15MW/60MWh lithium – ion energy storage system, creating northwest China’s first integrated “PV + Storage” project. Key innovations include:
